91ÌƲ®»¢ to Design Blue Valley Schools’ New Middle School
(OVERLAND PARK, Kan., February 5, 2024) – In conjunction with its 2023 bond referendum, Blue Valley Schools selects 91ÌƲ®»¢ to steer the districts’ vision for its newest middle school. The new middle school is a priority for Blue Valley’s growing community. 91ÌƲ®»¢â€™s integrated design will provide solutions that maximize district programming and educational objectives, as well as accommodate the need to meet future enrollment projections.
Serving over 22,000 K-12 students in the southeast portion of Johnson County, Blue Valley Schools is one of the largest districts in Kansas. In addition, Blue Valley Schools touts one of the highest assessment performance and graduation rates in the Midwest. The new middle school is the 11th building dedicated for students grades six through eight in the district and will serve the Blue Valley Southwest attendance area.
The $251 million bond package passed with over 70% approval. The new middle school is the primary project in a series of facility additions, facility and grounds maintenance, improved safety and security measures, and other district enhancements. All facets of Blue Valley’s 2023 bond referendum are scheduled to be completed by 2026.
