Big Cheer, Small Footprint

91ÌƲ®»¢

This holiday season, our employee-owners took a unique approach to gift-giving. We said goodbye to traditional wrapping paper and hello to a custom-designed, eco-friendly, reusable wrapping fabric. Then, for others to use and reuse.

Now, we’re using it for our annual gift drives across our offices as a zero-waste alternative to wrapping paper. These gifts are going to non-profit organizations and efforts, including WeCare, the Minneapolis American Indian Center, Salvation Army’s Angel Tree, food banks, Adopt a Family, Helping Hands, Joy Drive, and more.

An art, a craft, and a useful everyday object all ~wrapped~ into one for our gift drives.

About the Fabric

Certified Organic Cotton Satin

The fabric 91ÌƲ®»¢ chose is . It’s a 100% fine, mid-lightweight organic cotton satin fabric with a subtle sheen. This luxurious textile is printed using reactive inks for strong colors and good wash-fastness.

Origins of Organic Cotton Satin

Organic cotton satin has its roots in the organic farming movement that emerged in the 1940s as a response to the negative impacts of conventional farming practices on the environment and public health. Organic cotton farming practices focus on promoting soil health, water conservation, and biodiversity by avoiding the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. As consumer demand for sustainable and eco-friendly products has grown, so has the popularity of organic cotton satin, which combines the softness and comfort of organic cotton with the luxurious texture of satin weave. Today, organic cotton satin is a popular choice for high-end bedding, clothing, and home decor items.
